In Honor of National Bereavement Day ~ we want to honor all of the women out there who have lost pregnancies and babies that they were expecting. This month, The Cardinal features our very own @brittaroundtown and her story about loss. 💔
In the words of Britt herself: "Today, on National Bereaved Mother’s Day, I am absolutely honored to share the article that my friend Dana, another contributing writer with the Doylestown Cardinal, wrote in honor of mothers who have experienced the heartbreak of pregnancy loss. When she asked me to share my story, I quickly agreed as I have been an open book about these last few years in hopes to let other angel baby mamas know that they are not alone and shouldn’t be afraid to tell their stories. For years, the topic of pregnancy loss has been considered taboo, and I am so thankful that the mindset has been shifting. No woman should EVER have to go through this alone as this traumatic experience completely changes their lives. It should not be kept secret. It happened and is one of the worst experiences most of us will ever have to face. …and these statistics are not small. Pregnancy loss occurs in 10-20 percent of pregnancies. 1 in 4 women will know this pain. They are your friends. Your family. Your neighbors. Your coworkers. Please keep them in mind today and on Mothers Day as it is a hard one for us. While a small excerpt of the article can be found in the May edition of the Doylestown Cardinal, the full article and my full story can be found on their website at the link below. I will warn you, it’s not an easy read, but it sure as hell wasn’t an easy experience either. Thank you for letting me share my story and my inbox is always open for those who need to share theirs as well. You are not alone. We see you. We are with you."
Meet today’s featured #bloomgirl, Brittany Brown! Britt is a blogger, Disney fanatic, and an avid member of our bloom community! We are so inspired by Britt and we know you will be too!
There wasn’t a time when Brittany Brown didn’t have a camera in her hand, documenting her life as she lived it.
Over time, she developed an interest in sharing her experiences with others. The 31-year-old marketing manager from Bucks County sought an outlet to talk about her visits to local businesses, trips to small towns and time spent outdoors.
That led her to developing her social media accounts and blog – @brittaroundtown. Now, her accounts have thousands of followers that look to her for recommendations on shops, restaurants, day-trips and a lot more.
